Caught In a Battlefield

I feel your pain and with you I share that which you fear
Silent cries from my soul escape into the darkness of night
Tears in my eyes appear, understanding that which you are feeling
I long to be able to do something to help you in this fight

Within my heart, I carry you, where ever I go, what ever I do
As each day I seek to find a special way that might help you
Or bring some amount of comfort or easiness to your mind
Something...to guide you during your fight and help see you through

It is a war, a different one. Unlike any you have ever fought
Don't give up, strive to see the other side of the battlefield
Be brave, as each day you face, strive your hardest to win
Your faith and strong will are beside you each day as your shield

Face each morning, knowing another day in the battle you have won
Live each moment to its fullest, desiring to overcome the war you're in
Look to the Lord, your family, and friends, to help when you're in need
You are not alone; we are with you, as each new day you begin
