One lonely evening a Guardian Angel from above
Brought our paths together across the beautiful seas

For the Angel knew...but for an intervention
Our Friendship could not form as was meant to be

I've never known a friendship such as ours, yours and mine
For it is truly a special one...none I have experienced before

I gaze upon the stars above and wonder, how, for so long
I went through this life alone, before you knocked upon my door

The feeling was instant, we felt as though we had known each other for years
Now with each passing day the bond between us has begun to grow

We share our inner most secrets, our thoughts, our dreams, joys and sadness
This special bond of friendship with another I will never know

But I am not worried, for in you I have an everlasting friend
Though the distance between us is far I know my friend is ever near
