THE OCEAN SPEAKS

The sun is fading softly in the distance
I walk along the shores edge, destiny unknown
Following an intense force guiding me
Unafraid, I continue onward to what will be shown

Listening to the sounds of the ocean
As it seems to speak to me, a calmness I feel
Knowing my travels must be taking me to paradise
To a place where I will find love, one that is real

As I come around the bay, I see you sitting there
Looking out to the ocean deeply in thought
Could it be the ocean spoke to you
Calling you also to this place I have been brought

Slowly I walk closer, you turn and I look into your eyes
For a brief moment I am unsure, then your look draws me near
As I approach, you stand, reaching out to me
I listen as the ocean speaks, I have not one fear

The gentleness of your embrace is so loving
I long for this moment to last forever, never to part
The tenderness of your touch, the look I see in your eyes
Assures me of a love, one that is real, one spoken from the heart

My journey has ended, I search no more
In you I have found the love of my life for as long as I live
The ocean spoke to us, brought us together that day
